This Privacy Policy explains how Wolf iT LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Vetted mobile application and website (collectively, the "App"). By using Vetted, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address — when you create an account (coming soon)
• Display name — optional, used to personalize your experience
• Movie submissions — if you submit a missing movie, we collect the title, year, and any notes you provide
• Content ratings — if you submit a scene timestamp or content rating, we store that contribution alongside your account
• Payment information — if you subscribe to the paid tier, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically:

• Search queries — movie titles you search are stored in our database to power the search cache and improve response times for all users
• Device type and operating system — collected automatically to ensure app compatibility
• App usage patterns — general usage data to help us improve the app (no personally identifiable information)

Information we do NOT collect:

• Your location
• Your contacts
• Your camera or microphone (except when you use the optional poster scan feature, at which point the image is processed and immediately discarded)
• Any data from children under 13

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Vetted app and its features
• Respond to your movie submission requests
• Process payments for the paid subscription tier
• Send you important account-related communications (not marketing emails)
• Build and maintain the movie content database that benefits all users
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving Vetted.

4. Third Party Services

Vetted uses the following third party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

• OMDb API — provides movie metadata (title, year, genre, poster). omdbapi.com
• Content Rating Data Provider — provides community-sourced content warning data for movies and TV shows. Provider details will be updated upon partnership confirmation.
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and search cache are stored on Supabase servers in the United States. supabase.com/privacy
• Stripe — payment processing for the paid subscription tier. We never store your payment details. stripe.com/privacy
• Render — hosts our backend server. render.com/privacy
• Netlify — hosts our frontend application. netlify.com/privacy
• Google Cloud Vision — used optionally for the movie poster scan feature. Images are sent to Google's API for title identification and are not stored by us. policies.google.com/privacy

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — only with the third party services listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the App
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority
• Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Wolf iT LLC, your data may be transferred to the new owner. We will notify you before this happens.

6. Community Contributions

If you submit a missing movie, a content rating, or a scene timestamp, that contribution may be displayed to other users of Vetted. Contributions are not linked to your name or email address in any public-facing display — they are attributed anonymously.

7. Children's Privacy

Vetted is designed for parents and guardians. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@wolfitechnologies.com and we will delete that information promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Movie search cache data is retained indefinitely to improve performance for all users — this data is not linked to individual accounts. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Opt out — opt out of any non-essential communications

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database storage via Supabase, and limited access to personal data within Wolf iT LLC. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your data using industry-standard practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via the app or email. Your continued use of Vetted after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
